Marquis Teague – photo by Walter Cornett | WildcatWorld.com
When Marquis Teague showed up to Kentucky’s campus last June, he tried as hard as he could not to put the burden on himself of leaving school after a year like Brandon Knight did, and like John Wall did, and like Tyreke Evans did, and like Derrick Rose did. Those four players were John Calipari’s last four point guards, and Teague told himself he didn’t have to live up to that. If he wanted to stay in school beyond his freshman year, he could. He’d make that decision when he was faced with it.
