While signing autographs at a local supermarket last week, Knight was asked about what good luck rituals he would perform before tonight’s NBA draft lottery with a grand prize of Kentucky big man Anthony Davis. As the Pistons’ representative when the 14 lottery teams gather at Times Square in New York, one would think he had something elaborate planned. A rabbit’s foot? A horseshoe? Lucky Charms for breakfast? One could tell by the tone of Knight’s response that he thinks believing in luck is nonsense (didn’t ask his opinion of Lucky Charms).
