As far as most University of Kentuckybasketball fans are concerned, coach John Calipari can do no wrong. In terms of winning, that’s hard to argue. He has taken the Wildcats to the Elite Eight or further in each of his three seasons, including back-to-back Final Fours and this year’s NCAA championship. But not everyone in Big Blue Nation is thrilled with Calipari’s philosophy on scheduling, the crux of which is to play the best teams in domed stadiums at neutral sites to prepare his perpetually young rosters for the NCAA Tournament experience. That desire led to the demise of the UK-Indiana series in May, erasing the Hoosiers’ scheduled visit to Rupp Arena this coming season.
