From Eric Lindsey of CoachCal.com: “The third installment of the CoachCal.com Insider comes with a touch of irony. It may not seem like it based on the last few days on the site, but the Big Blue Machine is cranking back up at the Joe Craft Center. The basketball calendar will tell you that Oct. 12, the date of Big Blue Madness, marks the start of another basketball year, but I'm here to tell you the offseason is already over in the men's basketball office. It's difficult to put into words just how much the pace of an office can pick back up, but the best description I can offer is that the buzz is back. As I detailed in the last CoachCal.com Insider, John Calipari's radical pace rarely slows down. After winning the national title in early April, he took the championship trophy on a statewide excursion, conducted his satellite camp tour and attended the NBA Draft. All that was in addition to added obligations of winning a title (more appearances, autographs and pictures to take), planning for next year's team, and yes, a little family time.”
