Shane Hall, ranked the No. 64 prospect in the 2014 class by Scout.com, received a scholarship offer from Butler while on an unofficial visit two weeks ago. His father, Brad Hall, said the offer didn’t come as a total surprise. But considering Butler’s recruiting strategy of offering only a select number of prospects in each class, the gesture wasn’t taken lightly. “He thinks very highly of Butler,” Brad Hall said. “Honestly, his personality is probably a little better suited for a smaller school. We both really liked the visit.” Hall averaged 17 points and 12 rebounds as a sophomore at Johnson Central High School. His coach,Tommy McKenzie, said Hall has a 30-inch vertical and excels in an up-tempo game.
