John Calipari following first “team” practice: This team LOVES to play basketball

The Wildcats, both newcomers and veterans, are already on the court and getting ready for the upcoming year and John Calipari likes what he is seeing.

It's only July and there are still three months until Big Blue Madness — the official start to the 2014-15 basketball season — but the Wildcats, both newcomers and veterans, are already on the court and getting ready for the upcoming year.

Under NCAA rules, coaches can conduct two hours of team skill instruction per week at this time of the year, so worked his guys out on Tuesday night for the first time this season before hitting the road to recruit on Wednesday.

On March 19, 1966, Pat Riley joined the 1,000-point club.  He did it in 54 games.
