Should Kentucky fans be worried about 7-footer Isaac Humphries' nagging right knee soreness? Coach John Calipari said he isn't, but the sophomore center has missed significant time.
“The last week and a half, he hasn't practiced but about twice,” Calipari said Wednesday at SEC Media Day. “Swelled a little bit. We're trying to rest his knee. I'm thinking he'll either practice (Thursday) or be playing on Friday (in the Blue-White scrimmage) and then we get going.”
That's good news for arguably the Wildcats' most-improved player who figures to play a major role in the frontcourt this season. But there remains some mystery around Humphries' knee issue. He said he didn't land awkwardly or do anything memorable to tweak the knee.
