Came off the bench in the final four minutes of the first half against Ole Miss as eight Wildcats had at least two fouls during the period in the SEC tourney opener. Guarded Keith Carter and held him to just one FG during the stretch... Hit his first career three-pointer against Georgia (2/17/99). Followed up with another three against Vanderbilt... Suffered from shin splints early in the season... Recorded a career-high six rebounds against Mercer... Shot 49.1 percent from the field, 39.9 percent from three-point range and 69.9 percent from the foul line... In the '98 state tournament, he averaged 23.5 ppg, scoring 31 points against Clay County, 25 vs. Fleming County and 19 vs. Boyd County... In the final against Scott County, he had 19 points before a back injury sidelined him late in the third quarter with his Tigers leading by one. He did not return and Paintsville fell 89-78... He was named first-team all-state as a junior and senior and honorable mention All-America by Street & Smith's and Parade Magazine... Finished his five-year career with 2,082 points, which ranks 5th all-time at the school...
