Kentucky basketball coach John Calipari decided to ramp up the intensity as the Wildcats prepared for their second and final pre-season exhibition game Friday night. The coach told the team at a 10 p.m. meeting on Tuesday that they would begin two-a-day practices starting with the first one at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday. Freshman DeMarcus Cousins said the coach got the players' attention. “We knew it was not play time anymore,” Cousins said Thursday. “It's a new Coach Cal — intense and focused. It's not the laid-back, chilled Cal no more.” Original article, written by Jerry Tipton, is here.
