Former Cat Kelenna Azubuike will have surgery Wednesday

swingman Kelenna Azubuike will have surgery Wednesday to repair a torn patella tendon in his left knee.  Azubuike sustained the injury in Saturday's loss at Milwaukee, and the surgery will likely mean he will be out for the rest of the season. The Oakland Tribune reported that he will not play again this year, as the recovery period for the surgery is usually 5-to-6 months.  The procedure will be performed in Phoenix by Dr. Tom Carter.  Azubuike is averaging 13.9 points and 4.6 rebounds in nine games this season, his fourth in the league.  Read original article.
