In just eight games, Wall proves he’s college hoops’ biggest star

John Wall was last in Madison Square Garden a little less than eight months ago, for the Jordan Brand Classic, a messy high-school All-Star game in which he had eight points, six assists and five turnovers, and two big men, Georgia Tech-bound Derrick Favors and Mississippi State-bound Renardo Sidney, were named co-MVPs.  Read article.

On January 13, 2009, Jodie Meeks scored 54 points at Tennessee in a 90-72 victory for the most points in a single game by a Kentucky player. Meeks played 39 minutes and went 15-of-22 from the field, including 10-of-15 from behind the arc. He also didn't miss from the free-throw line, where he went 14-of-14.  He also hauled in eight rebounds and kicked out four assists.  The 54 points by Meeks was also the most points scored in an SEC game since Chris Jackson from LSU tallied 55 against Ole Miss in 1989.
