“I thought we had him,” Boynton said. “He was talking good, but came on strong, late.” Instead, Wall became the most important piece in first-year Kentucky coach John Calipari’s heralded initial recruiting class. Wall has lived up to the hype, a reason why No. 2 Kentucky (16-0) is off to its best start since beginning the 1966 season 23-0.
