They should call this the Pitino rule after the stunt he pulled with Marquis Teague last year. The NCAA has taken a first step to clean up basketball recruiting. The Division I Legislative Council voted Thursday to prohibit schools from hiring anyone associated with a basketball recruit for a two-year period before or after the player enrolls at the school. The council did not pass a proposal to limit who can be hired as basketball camp instructors.
