From The Season Never Ends 2010 Calendar: “No way was bitter rival Kentucky going to notch the school's 1,000th victory on Tennesee's home floor. But #5 Kentucky was too much for the unranked Vols, getting 21 points from Dan Issel, 18 from Larry Steele and 17 from Mike Pratt to hang on 69-66. The victory meant Kentucky was the first team in college basketball to reach the milestone, and the fact it came against orange blazer-wearing Ray Mears and the Tennessee Vols made the win sweeter.”
