Elizabethtown senior Curtis Washington left the team during the Panthers' 64-62 victory over the John Hardin Bulldogs on Tuesday night. During the fourth quarter, Elizabethtown coach James Haire called a timeout as the Bulldogs were making a run. Haire appeared to have said something to senior Chris Ulis and Washington during the timeout. When the Panthers came out of the timeout, Washington was no longer in the lineup. Washington left the bench and went to the locker room. He came back out and sat in the stands with family in a gray sweatsuit for the final minutes of the game.
