John Wall has Kentucky poised to claim the No. 1 ranking in the national college basketball polls. In a column in USA Today last week, Dick Vitale named Wall the midseason national player of the year. Last week, the freshman point guard appeared on a regional cover of Sports Illustrated that proclaimed him the best player in college basketball. So why isn’t Wall playing closer to home?
