James Dickey will be the next Houston Cougars’ men’s basketball coach. Three college basketball insiders with intimate knowledge of the search said UH offered the job to Dickey, a former Texas Tech head coach, on Wednesday. UH is expected to have a press conference as early as Thursday to introduce Dickey as the eighth head basketball coach in school history.
