From the Season Never Ends 2010 Calendar: “Kentucky capped an evening of tribute to its 1991-92 basketball team by unexpectedly retiring the jerseys of four players directly responsible for the rebuilding of the Kentucky program after NCAA sanctions had leveled it. As the seniors stood at mid-court with their families, four jerseys were unveiled: Richie Farmer‘s No. 32, Deron Feldhaus‘ No. 12, John Pelphrey‘s No. 34 and Sean Woods‘ No. 11. The seniors had no idea the award was coming. As Richie Farmer told an ESPN production crew, “it’s something you don’t dare dream about.”
Walter Cornett, of Glendale, Kentucky, is the owner and operator of Walter’s Wildcat World. He founded WildcatWorld.com in 1998 making it one of the oldest Kentucky basketball fan sites in operation today.
