Coach John Calipari and his staff will travel Kentucky in June and August for a series of youth basketball instructional camps. The tour will include 10 sessions in five cities, beginning with a June 14 stop in London and Williamsburg. Other stops include Danville, Elizabethtown, Bardstown, Louisville, Maysville and Newport. The camps, which will include instruction from the Kentucky basketball coaching staff, will give individuals the chance to learn more about the game of basketball, introducing drills that can be used at home. Open to boys and girls who are entering kindergarten through sixth grade, each session will also help the individuals develop positive attitudes, as well as gain more confidence on and off the court. Registration fee is $75 per child and available at www.ukathletics.com/camps. Participants will receive a Kentucky Basketball T-shirt, as well as opportunities for autographs and photos.
