You could say Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh and that LeBron James fellow did some good for American basketball this weekend, and not with their look-at-me celebration of free-agent coalescence. The commitment they and their United States senior national teammates made back in 2006 — and the Olympic gold medal they claimed two years later — helped lead to nearly all the top young U.S. prospects agreeing to participate on the junior national team that participated in last week’s FIBA U-17 World Championships. Note: Marquis Teague had 8 assists off the bench.
