Karen Sypher
Karen Sypher was found guilty Thursday by a Louisville federal jury of extorting University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino and lying to federal agents. The jury of six men and six women deliberated roughly 5 1/2 hours over two days before finding Sypher guilty on all six counts shortly after 1 p.m. Thursday. Sypher was indicted last year on charges of threatening Pitino with the intent to extort money from him, lying to the FBI and retaliating against him when she reported to Louisville police that Pitino raped her twice.
Walter Cornett, of Glendale, Kentucky, is the owner and operator of Walter’s Wildcat World. He founded WildcatWorld.com in 1998 making it one of the oldest Kentucky basketball fan sites in operation today.
