R.A. Hubbard students will kick off their school year taking advice from some well-known basketball players. NBA players Derek Anderson and Rajon Rondo will speak at Hubbard High School's gymnasium Saturday, Aug. 21, at 4 p.m. Anderson and Rondo's path to Courtland started in Louisville, Ky., where they both were promising young basketball players. Both players eventually went on to have successful careers at the University of Kentucky, but it almost didn't happen for the once troubled teenagers.
Walter Cornett, of Glendale, Kentucky, is the owner and operator of Walter's Wildcat World. He founded WildcatWorld.com in 1998 making it one of the oldest Kentucky basketball fan sites in operation today.
