Former Cat Rajon Rondo rooting for the UConn huskies?

Rajon Rondo used to play for , but he'll be wearing clothing when the Celtics hit the road. Rondo lost a bet to teammate Ray Allen, whose former UConn Huskies beat his Kentucky Wildcats Saturday night in the semifinals in Houston.  “I didn't want money,” Allen said. “I just wanted him to have some Husky pride. So I'll apply the gear for him. He'll be wearing it. So you guys catch him without it on, just let me know.”

On This Day In UK Basketball History

On February 21, 1970, No. 2 Kentucky defeated LSU, 121-105.  Dan Issel scored 51 points, Mike Pratt 27 and Tom Parker 18 as UK outgunned LSU star “Pistol Pete” Maravich’s 64-point performance before 9,000 fans in the John Parker Memorial Coliseum.  This was the ultimate shootout between all-time SEC greats Maravich and Issel.
