The inaugural All-American Championship, featuring the nation's best high school boys basketball players, resulted in two games that came down to the final possession. In the nightcap, the West led by an 87-67 score with 6:31 remaining in the fourth quarter and then withstood a furious comeback by the East to hold on and earn a 107-104 win. Kentucky 2012 target Perry Ellis (Wichita, Kan./Wichita Heights H.S.) earned Most Outstanding Player honors for the West for scoring 14 points and hauling down a team-high eight rebounds. Another Kentucky 2012 target, Shabazz Muhammad (Las Vegas, Nev./Bishop Gorman H.S.), had 17 points. For the East squad, Kentucky target Dajuan Coleman (DeWitt, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt H.S.) had 12 points and six rebounds. The games were played at the M.O. Campbell Center in Houston, site of the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship.
