It’s a foregone conclusion that when the Dominican Republic national team converges in Lexington later this summer, UK center Eloy Vargas will join them. Kentucky coach John Calipari, after all, is the Dominican coach. Vargas, a native of Moca, Dominican Republic, has spent some of his off-season playing for Sports Reach, a collection of college players that finished 6-2-1 during its recent tour of China. Vargas is thrilled about the possibility of playing for his country.
