Houston Rockets players are disappointed with the news from Union Chief Billy Hunter who said Thursday “it's obvious the lockout will happen tonight.” Players and owners have not been able to reach a deal on a new collective bargaining agreement which is expiring. “The gap is too great,” Hunter told the Associated Press. Rockets forward Chuck Hayes, who will become an unrestricted free agent once a new CBA is put in place, said a work stoppage is not good for the sport.
