players are disappointed with the news from Union Chief Billy Hunter who said Thursday “it's obvious the lockout will happen tonight.”  Players and owners have not been able to reach a deal on a new collective bargaining agreement which is expiring.  “The gap is too great,” Hunter told the Associated Press.  Rockets forward Chuck Hayes, who will become an unrestricted free agent once a new CBA is put in place, said a work stoppage is not good for the sport.
