A former University of Kentucky basketball player was sentenced in Fayette Circuit Court Friday for trafficking marijuana. Rekalin Sims was charged March 4 with trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 yards of a school and trafficking in a controlled substance more than eight ounces. He later entered an Alford plea — meaning he did not admit guilt but recognized there was enough evidence to convict him — to a reduced misdemeanor charge of trafficking marijuana.
Walter Cornett, of Glendale, Kentucky, is the owner and operator of Walter's Wildcat World. He founded WildcatWorld.com in 1998 making it one of the oldest Kentucky basketball fan sites in operation today.
