From one of my favorite sports columnists John Clay: “Saw on the interweb that Oscar Combs said this morning that the former Louisville coach got $300,000 a year over 20 years for his buyout when was pushed out as U of L coach. At the time, however, it was reported that Denny got $2 million up front, then $5 million over the next 15 years. That’s double what Billy Gillispie got when Kentucky forced him out, but then Denny was a much better coach. Probably still is.” Love it.
