Lawyer for Derek Anderson denies allegations that he financed major drug-trafficking organization

A lawyer for former University of Kentucky and NBA star Derek Anderson on Tuesday denied allegations from a government witness — an admitted killer and drug dealer — that Anderson bankrolled a major drug-trafficking organization.  Attorney Scott C. Cox said Anderson, who helped lead UK to the 1996 NCAA men's basketball championship and later played for seven NBA teams, “denies being involved in any illegal activity.”
