Calipari and the Dominicans suffer first defeat in thriller against Canada

The Canadian men’s basketball team hung on for a 73-72 win over the on Thursday at the FIBA Americas tournament.  Canada built a 12-point second-half lead, but needed a pair of clutch free throws from Aaron Doornekamp with less than three seconds to go to secure the win.  The loss moves Calipari and squad to 2-1 in round-robin play, with a game against Brazil (2-0) set for Friday afternoon.
