Jerry Tipton questions whether Kentucky really is the ‘greatest program’

Last week’s Champions Classic doubleheader in Madison Square Garden prompted a logical question: Which is the pre-eminent program? To paraphrase Ronald Reagan, which is the shining program upon the college basketball hill? Before every Kentucky home game, public address announcer Patrick Whitmer proclaims UK as “the greatest program in the history of college basketball.” But is it?
