Frustrated former Cat Eric Bledsoe anxious to contribute

Eric Bledsoe is past the point of cursing his dumb luck over tearing the meniscus in his right knee last October during an offseason workout at home in Alabama.  The Clippers' second-year point guard doesn't need to be reminded how the injury and subsequent surgery cost him all of training camp and ruined a golden opportunity for significant playing time early in the season.

On This Day In UK Basketball History

On February 21, 1970, No. 2 Kentucky defeated LSU, 121-105.  Dan Issel scored 51 points, Mike Pratt 27 and Tom Parker 18 as UK outgunned LSU star “Pistol Pete” Maravich’s 64-point performance before 9,000 fans in the John Parker Memorial Coliseum.  This was the ultimate shootout between all-time SEC greats Maravich and Issel.
