Kentucky basketball open practice to be aired on national television

Kentucky Practice - photo by Chet White | UKAthletics.comThe top-ranked University of men’s basketball team will host a practice and scrimmage open to both students and faculty/staff on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 3 p.m. in Memorial Coliseum.   Free tickets to the event will be distributed in person from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 14 at the Memorial Coliseum ticket windows located on Euclid Avenue. Tickets (one per ID) will be available to all current UK students and faculty/staff, as well as Bluegrass Community and Technical College students. All seating is general admission.   Attendees may not line up prior to doors opening at 2 p.m. on the day of the event. A valid student or UK faculty/staff ID must be presented with a ticket upon entry. Festivities will begin at 3 p.m. and will include both an open practice and scrimmage. Further details will be announced on Tuesday.   Students and faculty/staff must enter through the Euclid Ave. doors. All other doors to Memorial Coliseum will be closed.   The practice and scrimmage will air live from 3-5 p.m. ET on WKYT in Lexington, ESPNU, 3 and UKathletics.com. Other affiliates will be announced tomorrow.
