The U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) has selected Kentucky freshman Anthony Davis as the men's National Player of the Year in conjunction with the 2012 Oscar Robertson Trophy. The Chicago, Ill., native was selected as the Freshman of the Year by the USBWA last week. He is averaging 14.3 points and 10.1 rebounds per game en route to leading the Wildcats to a third-straight Sweet 16 appearance in the NCAA Tournament and a perfect 16-0 record in Southeastern Conference regular season action.
Walter Cornett, of Glendale, Kentucky, is the owner and operator of Walter's Wildcat World. He founded WildcatWorld.com in 1998 making it one of the oldest Kentucky basketball fan sites in operation today.
