Detroit Pistons rookie Brandon Knight didn't come to the NBA just gunning 3-point shots with abandon. He has done so since. Knight's 3-pointer that produced the first points of Friday's 88-75 loss to the Miami Heat was his 70th of the season, giving him the Pistons' franchise record for 3-pointers by a rookie. Lindsey Hunter held the record previously, with 69 in the 1993-94 season. Hunter set his mark in a full 82-game season.
