One day after Northeast suffered its first loss of the season, Coach Al Cooper told his star player that the Eagles would not beat Giles County unless he scored 40 points.  Kentucky signee Alex Poythress responded by scoring 46 in a 72-58 win over the Bobcats on Dec. 30.  Poythress, The Tennessean 2012 boys basketball player of the year, delivered for Northeast countless times the past four seasons.  “That’s the type of kid that when you ask something of him he would do it,” Cooper said.
