Turns out, the University of Kentucky men’s basketball team will play a high-profile opponent from Indiana next season after all. Just not that team. While negotiations with the Hoosiers remain stalled, UK will play at Notre Dame in 2012-13, according to a source. That and the rest of the Big East/SEC Challenge matchups (I assume with dates) are expected to be announced Friday. The Wildcats’ other non-conference games next season include a visit to rival Louisville, a home game against Baylor, a blue-blooded meeting with Duke in the Georgia Dome… as part of the Champions Classic and the christening of the Brooklyn Nets’ new Barclays Center against Maryland.
