Sharp-shooting two guard Doron Lamb spent the better part of two seasons at Kentucky serving as the back-up point guard whenever Brandon Knight or Marquis Teague needed a breather. Today, he hopes that double duty pays off as Lamb works to catch the eye of NBA teams as a late first-round selection in the June 28 draft. “I’m a great shooter. I make shots,” Lamb said. “But I’m more than a shooter. I can play the 1 and 2 and make plays for my teammates, and I can defend the 1 and the 2. I want to show them I’m a combo guard. “Coming back to UK for the second year helped me a lot,” Lamb added. “My point guard skills are ready for the NBA.”
