Next week Anthony Davis will join a club that admits one new member per year. It is the club of First Overall Picks in the NBA Draft. Oscar Robertson, Magic Johnson and LeBron James will welcome him. The draft’s second selection on June 28 will join a different club, one that is more terrifying than triumphant. The second pick is scheduled to play for the Charlotte Bobcats. The second pick will play for a team put together by Michael Jordan. The second pick is now projecting as Davis’ former University of Kentucky teammate – Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. Poor Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.
