Now that the Dominican Republic run is over, there has to be a break from basketball for a while, right? It is the offseason, after all. Wrong. Starting Monday, you can catch a host of former Wildcats and former John Calipari players in the NBA’s two summer leagues. The Orlando Summer League tips off Monday with four games, including a 3 p.m. matchup between Enes Kanter’s Utah Jazz and Brandon Knight’s Detroit Pistons. The Orlando Summer League includes eight of the NBA’s 32 teams and lasts through Friday. Once it ends, the 2012 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas will start on Friday and end July 22. The summer league in Las Vegas includes 24 teams and will feature a 60-game schedule.
