Junior-college point guard Chris Jones made an official visit to the University of Louisville this weekend. Jones, the 5-foot-11 sophomore for Northwest Florida State College, returned from Louisville on Sunday afternoon – his third consecutive weekend trip, following visits to Oklahoma State and Baylor. Asked in a phone interview where the U of L visit ranked, he said, “The best one so far. Everyone will see probably tomorrow.” Jones is thought likely to be U of L coach Rick Pitino’s top target as the Cards seek a 2013 replacement for senior point guard Peyton Siva. “He feels more comfortable putting the ball in my hand than a high school point guard, and that’s why he’s not recruiting any more high school point guards,” Jones said. Nice Rick. That comment should go over well with high school recruits.
