Michael Kidd- Gilchrist got off to a great start in his professional career with an astounding performance in the first summer league for the Charlotte Bobcats. Kidd-Gilchrist however faced a set back as he went down with a knee injury, which forced him to miss the remaining games for the Cats. Even though the injury was not deemed very serious at that time but with no words from the player or the Bobcats management, the incident gave rise to speculations. MKG however made an appearance in Kentucky charity game, and with that he put to bed all rumours of him not fully fit. Kidd had earlier hinted that he will not be able to participate in the charity game, but ultimately showed up, and boy did he play. Known for his fighting spirit and stamina, MKG put up impressive numbers to portray that the injury was really not that serious at all. MKG shot the ball 15 of 32 from the field on his way to 32 points and 5 rebounds. He had trouble finding his rhythm from long range and missed on all of his attempts from beyond the arc but his overall game was excellent.
