Nerlens Noel recognized immediately his hair would be a sensation with UK fans

The 6-foot-10, 228-pound freshman center averaged 12.6 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.9 blocked shots per game as a senior at Tilton School in Everett, Mass. He has been called by multiple gurus a better shot blocker than the guy he’s trying to replace, Anthony Davis, who set an freshman record with 186 blocks last season at Kentucky.  Noel was named USA Today National Player of the Year, was one of four finalists for the Naismith High School Player of the Year and made the Parade All-America and Jordan Brand Classic teams. He was rated one of the top two overall prospects in the country in the Class of 2012 by every service. This is a sampling of Noel’s preseason Q&A with The Courier-Journal:  So is your flat top – technically speaking, a high-top fade – the new unibrow?   “I’d have to say so, yeah.” How quickly did you recognize that your hair style was going to be a sensation among fans?  “I realized that right off the bat, just seeing what Anthony (Davis) did with his unibrow. It gave the something to really talk about.”
