New Orleans Hornets rookie Anthony Davis was tested for a possible concussion after he was forced to leave Friday night's game against the Utah Jazz in the second quarter after he inadvertently got hit by rookie Austin Rivers' elbow on a defensive play.
Davis did not return after he left the game with 4:51 remaining before halftime. The Hornets announced just before the start of the third quarter that Davis was getting tested for a concussion. When he walked off the court, Davis was holding his hand over his right eye.
On the play, Davis appeared to move into position to take a charge when Rivers came up near him to get into defensive position and raised his arms and inadvertently caught Davis on the right side of his face.
