Kentucky could be without two key guards for Tuesday’s Champions Classic against Duke.
Unless sophomore point guard Ryan Harrow practices Monday, he “probably” won’t make the trip to Atlanta, head coach John Calipari said on a teleconference Monday. Senior guard Julius Mays is also questionable with an eye injury he suffered during the Maryland game.
Harrow missed this weekend’s two practices and his status was uncertain as of Monday morning. He was questionable heading into last week’s season opener against Maryland because of the flu.
“He’s still not 100 percent,” Calipari said. “He hasn’t practiced since we’ve been back. Probably should have held him out of that Maryland game. We’ve been holding him out of competition until he’s 100 percent now and back practicing. We practice later today. If he can go today, he’ll make the trip. If he cannot go today, probably in all likelihood will not make the trip to Atlanta.”
