Future Cat Karl Towns dominates in Thursday night win

Future Cat and sophomore center Karl Towns erupted for a career-high 35 points, pulled down 15 rebounds and blocked five shots to lead the St. Joseph High School basketball team, ranked No. 3 in the Home News Tribune Top 10, past No. 5 South Brunswick 71-43 in Greater Middlesex Conference Red Division action on Thursday night in Metuchen.

Towns, who has already made a verbal commitment to , shot the lights out as he connected on 16 of 20 attempts from the field.

Junior slasher Marques Townes also had a fine game for the Falcons (5-2, 3-1 GMC Red). He collected 13 points, seven assists, six rebounds and four steals.
