Among the few regrets that Nets interim coach P.J. Carlesimo had after a generally exhilarating double-overtime win in Washington on Friday night was the way he used Keith Bogans. “To be honest with you,” Carlesimo said, “I played him too many minutes.”
Bogans has a different view. As far as he is concerned, there is no such thing as too many minutes. Especially for someone who missed almost all of last season with a torn ligament and broken ankle.
“I was told that I may never be able to play again,” he said before the Nets' game against the Kings Saturday night at Barclays Center. “When I first heard that news, of course I was devastated, but I just got focused once I got my surgery. I kept telling myself I was going to get in the best shape of my life, which I did.”
