For UK basketball players returning to class Wednesday probably felt a little like a break of its own after the end of “Camp Cal.” Calipari has spent the winter break working extra with his team, including one-on-one attention for some players like freshman forward Alex Poythress, sophomore point guard Ryan Harrow and freshman guard Archie Goodwin.
With Southeastern Conference play starting Thursday, Calipari thinks his team got what it needed out of the extra work.
