This isn’t related to Kentucky basketball but Ron Bevars is a coaching legend in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, North Hardin is my alma mater and 800 wins is a huge accomplishment.  From the News-Enterprise:  “North Hardin coach Ron Bevars reached another milestone Friday night with the Trojans’ 88-60 victory over the Marion County Knights in the gym named after him.

Bevars, who is in his 38th season as the head coach, recorded his 800th victory, becoming only the fourth coach in Kentucky to accomplish the feat. He joined William Keen, Billy Hicks and Dale Mabrey. Like Bevars, Hicks and Mabrey each reached the plateau this season.

Bevars has compiled a record of 800-340 during his legendary career. He has guided the Trojans to 17 17th District championships and 12 5th Region titles.
