
The University of Kentucky basketball team may not be in the NCAA tournament this year, but a key figure in the legendary program’s history was celebrated last night at a local library,
Kentucky Chautauqua actor Edward B. Smith brought legendary University of Kentucky coach Adolph Rupp to life last night in a living history performance at the Erlanger branch of Kenton County Public Library.
Rupp, who coached 42 years at UK, raised basketball to near-religious status in the commonwealth. His teams won 880 games, four national championships and one Olympic gold medal.
